Marco Trevisani

I'm writing to you about my student, Baick-Ho Cha, who took part in all the classes I offered at New York University, between the years 1997-2000. I know he is applying to a program in your institution and I think it would be a great contribution for your department, since Baick-Ho Cha has proven to me to be a very intelligent student with a very strong background in music composition and music history -- with a special focus in traditional and contemporary Korean music, and his knowledge on his field is very impressive --. He participated with a great interest in all the classes and in the activities in our department, giving a very sincere and intelligent contribution.

He's also very interested in the field of the electronic music where, thanks to his intelligence and his general preparation, could reach very interesting results, and, if working in a very stimulating environment could reach even greater result and being stimulating as well for his fellow colleagues.

I would not hesitate to recommend Baick-Ho Cha as a possible candidate for your program.

Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information.

Sincerely,

Mr. Baick-Ho Cha is a graduate of the music school (department of composition) of Yonsei University, which he attended for four years.
It is my pleasure to advise him in the preparation of his works during a couple of semesters through the composition classes.

He is the most talented, intelligent and reliable person as far as I know. His view of life is earnest and I found his character stable, for he usually accomplishes what he sets out to do.

It is my sincere belief that Mr. Cha is fully deserving of opportunities to study in your school.

I hereby recommend Mr. Baick-Ho Cha as a deserving candidate for which he is now applying.

Baick-Ho Cha had served as the main conductor for our church from January 10, 1994, to January 3, 1998. During the course of his service, Mr. Cha proved himself to be an able conductor, a hard prayer, a talented pianist, and a wonderful composer.

I was quite impressed by Baick-Ho's ability to conduct all kinds of musical pieces well. It did live up to my expectations. His musical interpretations were always thorough and comprehensive, and his piano accompaniment was always graceful.

Overall, Baick-Ho Cha is a very conscientious and able person. I certainly believe he has what it takes to make a wonderful composer someday. I strongly recommend Baick-Ho Cha for your school.
